When Ulrich Seidl asked me if I wanted to roam around his set in Italy and Romania I was stoked. His movies Hundstage and ImportExport were a heavy inspiration for my way to look at the world, and Wolfgang Thaler’s cinematography certainly had a fair share of shaping my view as well. To see how to make a film with Seidl was an experience that taught me how cinematic and sometimes real magic can happen.
